  Donna Macdonald (former Nelson city councillor),
  Eleanor Stacey (Civic Theatre),
  Fred Wah (DTUC, Selkirk College, Parliamentary Poet Laureate), and
  Jesse Woodward (current Nelson city councillor);
  moderator: Rita Moir (Nelson Daily News, community activist, author)


• 11AM – 12 NOON: The Importance of Place: Is There a Kootenay Style? with
  Robin DuPont (Selkirk College clay instructor; 2023 Nelson cultural ambassador),
  Allison Girvan (choral director, singer, 2019 Nelson cultural ambassador),
  Nicola Harwood (DTUC, Oxygen Art Centre, Kwantlen Polytechnic University),
  Calvin Wharton (DTUC, Kootenay School of Writing, Douglas College);

*THE DEADLINE for letting the Organizing Committee know (when you register) your intent to participate in the Art Exhibition or the Open Mic Author Reading is SUNDAY, APRIL 30.

*ART EXHIBIT DETAILS
We welcome the chance to present artwork by former DTUC-ites during this Reunion. Participants must be registered to attend the Reunion, and must let the committee know by April 30 of their intent to show artwork. Oxygen Art Centre was unable to offer us their space, so the exhibition will be in the Reunion space at the Prestige, the Kootenay and Selkirk Salons. Please note that all artwork will be set on tables and, due to the venue’s strictures, can be leaned against the wall from a table’s top, not be hung on walls.

Participants are asked to bring their artwork to the Reunion venue AFTER 4 pm on Friday, May 19. They will be displayed both days of the Reunion (the rooms will be locked overnight), and MUST be picked up again by the close of the event at 11 pm on Saturday, May 20.

So far, some are presenting a piece of DTUC-era artwork together with one example of current work, but the piece you would like to show will be welcomed.
